Can you help me find my Grandads Austin 10?

Can you help me find my grandads Austin 10?
Its registration is AMG700.
I have a few photos of it but I can’t see a way to upload them on here…
It last changed hands in 2018 and is still shown as beige so I have hope it’s still about!

I tried the Austin 10 Facebook page and was guided to try my luck over here on the forum.

He owned it from the 1950s when my mum and auntie were born through to the 80s, having been on many holidays and everywhere in between, then trading it (well, selling and then buying) an Austin metro (of which he’d have 4 over the years until he passed in 2006).

I even have a photo grandad took of a guy in a blue Tshirt stood in front of the car as it’s being loaded onto the truck as he is who bought it. It has to be in the 80s as the truck pictured is a Stoneywood recovery truck, and they started business in 1979!

My family (apart from grandad) have never been car people, so getting them to look through photos to try and find ones that actually show the unique number plate has been somewhat… arduous, let’s say. But I have them. A few in black and white and two in colour!

My Grandma Dorothy and Grandad Ralph are no longer with us. We lost my Grandma only in February (age 96!), and while they left a few things to us, tracking down AMG700 would be absolutely amazing, even if I just got to see it still exists!

According to the DVLA it is not taxed for the road at present (so on SORN) and as you say was last issued a V5 in 2018. Date 1933 and colour match club record of the car, but no current club member linked to it. DVLA data shows their frequent error for an Austin 10 of 1141cc instead of actual 1125cc.

Hi Peter thanks for your reply.
That’s cool that there is SOME record of the car in the club. Is there any way of finding out who WAS linked to it or who owned it at that time?
